In 2013, the Tour de France will celebrate it’s hundredth edition. The Tour’s visit to Corsica is also historical. The Island of Beauty is the only region of France which has never been crossed by the race. This year it will welcome the cyclists, the Tour’s followers, the public and all the logistics which will ensure the success of this event. Corsica and the Corsicans are preparing to measure up to the immense sporting and media-related interest associated with peloton.
All the lifeblood of the island is getting ready to welcome the Tour warmly and professionally: the cities of Porto-Vecchio, Bastia, Ajaccio and Calvi have risen to the challenge put forward by the Territorial Collectivity of Corsica, as have the General Councils of Corse-du-Sud and Haute-Corse.
