Tourism Minister, Leon Bignell and Race Director, Mike Turtur have announced that the Santos Tour Down Under will be held from 19 – 26 January 2014.
The Santos Tour Under – undoubtedly the biggest cycling race in the Southern Hemisphere – is the first race on the UCI World Tour Calendar and what a way it is to start! Staged in January for a week, the Santos Tour Down Under brings the top UCI WorldTour cycling teams and riders to race on the streets of Adelaide and regional South Australia.
However, the Santos Tour Down Under is more than just the race! The event is best described as a festival of cycling; there are many associated events and attractions that create a fantastic party atmosphere that travels all across beautiful South Australia. Amateur cyclists can even ride some of the very same routes as the professionals!
